Schedule Announced

The Mayfield Masterminds
Team will be appearing on television. Their January 3 match,
against Watervliet High School will be broadcast on March 17, at 11:00
am, on channel 18. Please tune in and support the kids.

January 5, 2012
On January 3, the
varsity members of the Masterminds team travelled to Proctors
Theater to compete in a match against Watervliet. The match
was taped and will be broadcast on television in late February (stay
tuned for an exact date). The team played well, and after
falling behind at halftime, the team charged back for a victory.

14, 2011 On
January 3, the varsity Masterminds team will head to Proctors to
have a match taped for television. The team is scheduled to
compete against Watervliet. Stay tuned for information
regarding a broadcast time.
Mayfield Masterminds
Team Hosts Meet
December
14, 2011 On
December 13, Mayfield successfully hosted a Masterminds meet.
Five schools competed; Mayfield, Gloversville, Broadlabin-Perth,
Dolgeville and Amsterdam. On the day, both the JV and Varsity
split their matches. The JV team beat B-P and lost a close
match against Amsterdam. The varsity beat Dolgeville and lost
to B-P.

November 5, 2011
Masterminds competition again has a competitor from Mayfield.
This is our fourth year competing in the Quiz bowl like contest and
the coach and returning players are looking forward to another
strong year of competition. This is the first year that
Mayfield has been able to field a JV team in addition to the
varsity. Team members are listed below.
Varsity: Matt Montgomery (senior and
captain), Dave Krutz (senior), John Donnan (senior), Mitch Brower
(senior), John Brower (senior), Nick Petricca (senior) and Anna Husain (junior).
Junior Varsity: Aaron Costa (junior), Lucas
Mormando (junior), Sarah Montgomery (sophomore), Matty Krutz
(sophomore), and Riley Yager (freshman).
