Northville residents reject school merger referendum
Sept. 18, 2012 Northville residents rejected an advisory school merger proposal Tuesday, Sept. 18, effectively ending two years of talks to combine with the Mayfield Central School District. While voters in Mayfield passed the referendum, the support of residents in both districts was required to bring the merger proposal forward to a binding vote. FULL STORY

Mayfield and Northville residents to vote on school merger Sept. 18

Residents in the Mayfield and Northville school districts will decide
this fall on whether a proposed merger of the two districts will move
forward.
The boards of education of both the Mayfield and Northville
school districts voted unanimously Thursday, July 19, to put
the merger proposal before voters in a non-binding, advisory
referendum—also called a “straw vote”—set for
Tuesday, Sept. 18.

June 15, 2012 During their regular meeting on Thursday, June 14, members of the Northville Board of Education unanimously passed a resolution that removes what was known as “option 1” from consideration in the district’s merger talks with Mayfield Central Schools. Mayfield and Northville residents invited to discuss possible school merger
May 24, 2012 Residents of the Mayfield and Northville school districts will have the opportunity to discuss a possible merger on Monday, June 18 in the Mayfield Jr./Sr. High School auditorium and on Wednesday, June 20 in the Northville auditorium. Mayfield/Northville merger study on its way to State Education Department

was approved by the districts' joint Community Advisory Committee has
been submitted to the New York State Education Department. The next step
