To kick off the 2010-11 school year, we're proud to welcome you to the new online home of Mayfield Central Schools!
From the photo array on our homepage to the now-familiar design in the district masthead and the stunning colors and photos used throughout the site, I think you'll agree that our new website is simply beautiful. But, as the saying goes, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
Take a look around the new Mayfield website and you'll find several new features, all designed to make it easier for you to find the information you're looking for. Look for the latest district news on our homepage, as well as news from each of our school buildings by clicking on the links in the top left corner. Each page of the site includes an easy-to-use navigation rail, as well as quick links that allow users to rapidly find commonly-accessed resources such as cafeteria menus and the district calendar. Still can't find what you're looking for? Try our A-Z Index, which lists every subject covered by our website.
Another exciting feature lets you share what you find on our website with others with just one click of your mouse. The five small icons at the top of this page can be found on most pages on our site, and they give you the opportunity to e-mail the page you're on (envelope), bookmark the page in your "Favorites" (star), print the page (printer), share it with others via Facebook ("f" icon), or tweet it using your Twitter account ("t" icon).
In addition to the latest district news, sharing features and information already available, we plan to continue adding new resources to the website in the coming months. Our goal is to make the new Mayfield website your first and best source for information about the district.
The new Mayfield website is the result of months of collaborative work by members of the district leadership team, technology committee, and the Web development team from the Capital Region BOCES communications service, as well as Mayfield's network analyst, Tonya Christman. I'm grateful to everyone who worked to make our new website a success.
If you'd like to tell us what you think of the new site, or if you ever have comments or questions about the website, please fill out our feedback form by clicking here or on the Feedback link at the top of the page.
Please enjoy your visit to our new website, and I hope you continue to visit it often!
