Q. What initially interested you in being on
the Mayfield Board of Education?
A. It's something I always wanted to do and see how tax dollars are
spent. When people started to ask when I would run 10 years ago, the
timing was right for me. Both of our children graduated from Mayfield
1995 and 1998. Mayfield is also one of the best educational facilities in the
area.
Q. What’s your favorite part about being a
board member?
A. Knowing I have input in the education of Mayfield students and seeing
them excel academically and scholastically. (I like) The challenge
of understanding the operation of the school district and realizing how
much is mandated by the state and federal government and then finding out
the state and federal government relies on the local taxpayer to fund
the programs.
Q. What is your strongest asset as a board
member?
A. Having input on the infrastructure and maintenance of the buildings.
Q. What do you do in your spare time?
A. Collect sports cards and snowshoe
Q. What type of music do you listen to?
A. Beach Boys and country
