Mayfield announces fitness awards

Mayfield CSD recently announced its President’s Challenge Award winners during a pep rally at the high school. The President’s Challenge is a long-standing program of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (PCPFS) dedicated to improving the physical activity and fitness of All-Americans.

The National Winners are in the top 50 percent in the nation and the Presidential Winners are in the top 15 percent.

“We are very proud of the Mayfield student’s who worked hard to master the skill and fitness level to earn these awards,” said physical education teacher Eileen Rovito. “We are especially proud of all the participants who not only earned an award this year but commit to reaching and maintaining a high standard of personal fitness throughout their entire high school careers. “

Presidential winners include:
