Eye Dissection
Seventh grade science students at Mayfield Junior High School were recently treated to a visit by Dr. David Kwiat and Dr. Marie Lou Garon from Kwiat Eye and Laser Surgery of Amsterdam. The doctors shared their knowledge and expertise regarding the structure, function and care of human eyes through a sheep eye dissection. The formal instruction was followed by an open question and answer session where the students inquired about general eye health and medical issues. Assisting in this exciting and informative lesson were Ashley Jewett and Dan Sardelli.
