Board of Education position up for election

One five-year term on the Mayfield Central School District Board of Education is up for election this year. 

The five-year seat, presently occupied by Tara Caraco, will become vacant as of June 30, 2021.  The election will be held May 18, 2021, from noon to 8 p.m. in the high school gym lobby.

Qualified residents interested in seeking the open seat must file a Petition for Nomination, which must be signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the district.  The petitions are available by contacting District Clerk Debra Javarone at 518-661-8207. Petitions must be returned no later than April 19, 2021. 

Candidates must be a qualified voter of the district and must have resided in the district for at least one year prior to their election.
