Families asked to complete an engagement survey about Mayfield Jr./Sr. High School by May 31

This letter was emailed to parents and guardians at the Jr./Sr. High School today by Principal Christopher Wojeski. The school is seeking parent input about the school.

Here is a link to the survey. Just click on the link and enter the password which is Mayfield12117.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We want to share with you the process we will be going though as part of our responsibility for participating in the Diagnostic Tool for School and District Effectiveness review, which is a required assessment of our schools by the New York State Department of Education.  We are very interested in the perspective of our families as an important part of our planning. Our family/school relationship and partnership is central to our students’ success.

We will be providing our families with a link to The Family Engagement Survey. This will be posted on our website and the parent portal on May 16. The survey will be open until May 31. It is very easy to complete and will take approximately 10 minutes.

Each faculty member will be able to click a link I’ll provide later today and respond according to a five part scale.

There are 50 scaled questions and three open-ended questions. All survey responses are anonymous. Respondents are not identified. We ask that there be only one survey completed per household.

We have selected PLC Associates, Inc. to administer these surveys, compile the data, and provide comprehensive reports, which will be helpful to us in planning our next steps. PLC Associates, Inc. has worked with hundreds of schools. The company abides by a strict code of conduct in administering these surveys and is known for their exemplary level of delivery. The process is very streamlined.

Additionally, as part of this process, our staff and students will be completing surveys. This will allow us to have a comprehensive database important for our planning.

The administrative team and our Board of Education appreciate your assistance in completing this important survey.  Parents are such an important part of what we do and we are grateful for our families taking the time to respond. We look forward to your input. If there are questions or need for clarifications, please call (518) 661-8200.
