Mayfield Nordic State Meet competitors Braydon Jourden, Fianna Halloran, Tatjana Bjelica, Delaney LaFontaine and Madison Relyea had outstanding performances on Monday and Tuesday at the state meet held at the Harriet Hollister Spencer Recreation Area in Springwater, NY.
After placing 2nd in 7.5 kilometer skate race by 7 seconds, Madison came roaring back to win the 3 kilometer classic race by 12 seconds. Madison was crowned the 2020 NYS Girls Champion.
Madison’s teammates, Fianna, Tatjana, and Delaney also had great classic races earning their team 2nd place in New York State. Braydon also had great races at State Meet placing in the top 30 both days.
