Three candidates vying for one spot on the Board of Education on May 21

Three candidates have filed petitions to seek the Board of Education seat now held by Board of Education President Ernie Clapper.

Voting will be held from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at the Jr./Sr. High School gym lobby. The seats are unpaid and are for five-year terms.

Candidates are invited to share their views and take questions at the public
hearing set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, in the Jr./Sr. High School library.

In addition to selecting a Board of Education member on May 21, the community will also consider the $20.69 million budget, which includes a tax levy increase of 2.9%, and a $220,000 bus purchase proposal from the Bus Purchase Reserve Fund.
