The following is notification pursuant to NYS Education Law in connection with the application of herbicide to the Mayfield Central School District athletic fields at the Jr/Sr High and Elementary Schools Monday, August 10 – Thursday, August 13.
Please note that all outdoor spaces will be closed to families Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14 and will reopen on Saturday, Aug. 15. This includes the track and playgrounds. Thank you for your cooperation.
This notice is to inform the community of the pending pesticide application at Mayfield Central School District. Residents may wish to take precautions to minimize pesticide exposure to yourself, family members, pets or family possessions. Further information about the product or products being applied, including any warnings that appear on the labels of such pesticide or pesticides that pertain to the protection of humans, animals or the environment can be obtained by calling the National Pesticide Information Center” (NPIC ) at 1-800-858-7378 or the New York State Department of Health Center for Environmental Health information line at 1-800-458-1158.
Marker flags will be posted at entry sites to the property.
