Senior Spotlight: Countdown to Graduation!

The finish line is in sight, seniors! Stay focused, stay organized, and celebrate every milestone along the way.

Key Reminders:
  • Transcript Requests: Grab a Transcript Request Paper in the Counseling Office to send transcripts where they need to go.
  • College Decisions & Scholarships: Share your college acceptances and scholarship offers with the Counseling Office by May 10 — let’s celebrate your success!
  • Stay Connected: Keep in touch with your advisor for updates on senior events deadlines, and graduation details.

Don’t miss out on scholarships — they can make a huge difference! Check out the Scholarship Application Spreadsheet for District and Local Scholarships through the Mayfield School District. Paper copies are also available in the Counseling Office.

Scheduling & Course Planning: Build Your Future!

Course selection for the 2026–2027 school year begins in February! Counselors will meet with students one-on-one to:

  • Review academic progress.
  • Discuss postsecondary goals.
  • Create a schedule that sets up success.
Scheduling Tips:
  • Double-check graduation requirements before finalizing courses.
  • Challenge yourself with AP or dual-credit classes.
  • Explore electives that match career interests.
  • Review the 2026–2027 Counseling Office Course Guide for inspiration.

February 9–13, 2026: Semester 2 ADD/DROP
March 25, 2026: SAT School Day
April 22, 2026: 2nd FMCC Instant Admission Days
May 1, 2026: National College Decision Day
May 4, 2026: AP Biology Exam
May 8, 2026: AP U.S. History Exam

Career & Technical Education (CTE)

10th-grade students interested in hands-on learning and career-focused pathways are encouraged to explore CTE
programs. Paper applications for CTE programs are available in the Counseling Office.

Important Deadline: February 28

Semester 2 Add/Drop Period

Students who need to make a schedule change for Semester 2 may add or drop a class by following the steps below.

Add/Drop Process:
  1. Pick up an Add/Drop Form from the Counseling Center
  2. Obtain the teacher’s signature
  3. Obtain a parent/guardian signature
  4. Schedule an appointment with your counselor to finalize the change
