Mayfield Central School District welcomes Alexandria Blanchard as the new Assistant Principal of the Elementary School. Ms. Blanchard has worked for the past seven years as a business teacher at Mohonasen Central School District and Saratoga City School District, helping students develop the skills they need for success both in and out of the classroom.
She is passionate about helping all students succeed and creating a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. She believes every student and staff member has unique strengths and needs, and is committed to supporting a school community that allows everyone to thrive.
“Joining Mayfield is especially meaningful to me because I grew up in this community, it’s an honor to give back to the place that helped shape who I am,” said Blanchard. “I am excited to be a part of the Mayfield family and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.”
Ms. Blanchard earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University at Albany; her master’s degree in business education from SUNY Oswego; and received her Educational Leadership Certificate from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Prior to teaching, she worked at GlobalFoundries in learning and organizational development.
Outside of school she is a health and fitness enthusiast and can be found skiing in the winter and playing pickleball with friends in the summer. She enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.
