Our 17th Annual Kids Heart Challenge

Mayfield Elementary is thrilled to be participating in the annual American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge for the 17th year! This incredible community service event allows our students to join millions of other children across the country in a meaningful opportunity to help others and learn about heart health. On Friday, Jan. 9 teachers and students gathered for an inspirational kick-off event!

During the Kids Heart Challenge, students will learn how their hearts work and how to take care of them through proper nutrition and physical activity. Our Kids Heart Challenge main event will take place on Friday, Feb. 6 during physical education class. Feb. 6 is also National Wear Red Day in support of the American Heart Association, we encourage all students, staff and volunteers to wear RED.

Over the years Mayfield students have raised $253,494 for the American Heart Association and this year our goal is to make it to $275,000. That means we need to raise $21,506 – we are confident we can do it!

You have the opportunity to help us reach our goal and raise money to help others with cardiovascular disease. You can help by asking friends and family to give in support of your child’s efforts. All donations will need to be received by Friday, Feb. 6, 2026.
