9th-grader Romano earns President’s Volunteer Service Award

Mayfield Jr-Sr High School student Bella Romano has earned the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The ninth-grader received the honor after recently completing 139.5 volunteer service hours.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate a commitment to a high level of volunteer service. These individuals are recognized for working tirelessly to help solve some of the toughest challenges facing their communities and the nation.  

Romano completed her service hours working for organizations around the region. Her work included meal deliveries, bottle collections, assisting the Salvation Army and the Read Across America program, and promoting autism awareness.
