Mayfield Central School District welcomes Jill Bonacio as the interim principal of the Elementary School for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year. Mrs. Bonacio recently retired as the principal of Pashley Elementary School in the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District, a role she held for many years.
Throughout her professional career, Mrs. Bonacio has focused heavily on child development, best educational practices, and creating innovative programming that supports the unique needs of every learner. Her experiences have deepened her passion for cultivating a supportive, inclusive, and joyful learning environment for every student and staff member.
“My decision to join Mayfield for this interim period is driven by my dedication to the learning community and my commitment to ensuring a seamless, positive, and stable experience for everyone,” said Bonacio. “I am genuinely looking forward to partnering with Mayfield’s students, staff, and families.”
While new to the Mayfield community, Mrs. Bonacio has a deep familiarity with the surrounding region, having begun her career at the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District. She maintains a strong connection to the area and the small, hometown feeling it provides.
