Athletic Trainer (Part-time)

Mayfield Central School District is seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to support the health and safety of student-athletes across all sports programs. This position involves injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Start Date: September 1, 2025

Schedule: As needed, request schedule from Athletic Director.

Salary: Hourly, based on experience and certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site injury prevention, first aid, and emergency care during athletic events
  • Evaluate and treat sports-related injuries
  • Design and oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments
  • Communicate with coaches, parents, and healthcare providers regarding athlete care
  • Ensure compliance with school, state, and athletic association health guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Current NATA BOC Certification or related field certification
  • State licensure (if required)
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Previous experience with adolescent athletes preferred
