District mourns death of MCSD student

The Mayfield Central School District is saddened to learn of the death of one of our students, AJ Smullen.

“Our school community is in deep mourning after learning of AJ’s passing,” Superintendent of Schools Christopher Harper said. “We are devastated by the loss of such a young life. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends, as well as any community members whose lives he left a lasting impression on.”

Mayfield School is prepared to support all of our students, families and staff members at this difficult time. A regional support team of school counselors, psychologists, social workers and community agencies are available for those in need of support.
