Mayfield needed a room the size of the gym to fit all of our Scholar-Athletes.
On Feb. 17, Mayfield High School gathered all of the student-athletes who have achieved New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Scholar-Athlete status in the gym, where they were presented with t-shirts to recognize their efforts.
To qualify as a Scholar-Athlete, a student must achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 90 percent or higher. To qualify as a Scholar-Athlete team, a team’s grade point average (GPA) for 75 percent of the roster must be greater than or equal to at least 90 percent.
