Job Description:
The Mayfield Central School District, located near the Great Sacandaga Lake, and approximately 40 miles northwest of the Capital District. The Mayfield Central School District is accepting applications for a full-time, probationary School Social Worker for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Demonstrate competency in selecting and administering a range of cognitive, achievement and social-emotional assessments. Effectiveness in utilizing results to guide interventions and IEP development.
- Lead prevention efforts by possessing a comprehensive knowledge of MTSS to support the growth and development of all students. Participate in student-based support meetings as needed.
- Offer direct consultation to the educational team to support those students with academic or behavioral difficulties.
- Provide Section 504/IEP mandated counseling services.
- Provide crisis-based assessment and short-term counseling support as needed to all students.
- Participate in the development of functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans, as well as safety risk assessments.
- Contribute to special education program development/evaluation that furthers the integration of best practices into the classroom.
Certifications/Experience/Qualifications:
- NYS Certification Required.
