Alexis Broderic

Alexis is an exceptional student-athlete, achieving a high school cumulative average of over 100. On the softball field, she is the consummate competitor; she respects the game, her opponents, officials and her coaches. She also volunteers her time to work with young players in our district.  Alexis will be extending her academic and athletic career at Herkimer College, they are delighted to get a player of Alexis’ caliber.

“Alexis has been the cornerstone of the softball program in her years here at Mayfield. Her love and the drive for the game is unmatched in high school athletics. Her coaches, teammates, family, and the softball community wish her nothing but the best at Herkimer,” said Coach Ted Horn.

Abigail Chest

Abby has worked hard academically at the HFM PTECH program and plans to pursue veterinary science. She is a rare athlete in that she has been recruited for three different sports – softball, basketball, and track. Her number one passion is soccer and after agreeing to play at college, she was contacted by the basketball coach and has agreed to join that team as a two sport college athlete. Abby will be continuing her education and playing soccer and basketball for the SUNY Farmingdale Rams.

“Abby was a major player on both ends of the soccer field. Her presence in the center mid was vital to our attacking ability,” said Coach Brian Moore. “In basketball she brought an amazing amount of energy, passion and hunger to the court that is so needed for success. She is a two-way player in every sense.”

Cloey Dopp

Cloey is a very high caliber athlete with a relentless work ethic. She has put in a tremendous amount of hard work, time, energy and effort into the game of basketball. This has led to her inclusion on many regional AAU teams and tournaments, and has also led her to being the highest scorer in the history of Mayfield girls basketball. Her scoring has placed her in the all-time Section 2 book for points, three pointers and several other accomplishments. After a long recruiting process, Cloey has decided to attend Division 2 Dominican University.

“Cloey has had an absolutely amazing season and career. She has played in 96 varsity games and never missed a single one. I am so excited to see her in the college court next season and wish her so much success,” said Coach Brian Moore.

Masen Valachovic

Masen has had an excellent athletic career at Mayfield in both soccer and track and field. He has an amazing attitude and work ethic and makes every student athlete feel included and a part of the team. On the track, Masen continually pushes himself in some of the most challenging races. He has decided to continue his academic and athletic career at SUNY Oneonta.

“Masen has done an amazing job of leading the team, not only by example, but also because of his vocal ability. His effort at track meets in unmatched. I cannot wait to see what he can do with a year round effort in track and field.  Best of luck to Masen, he’s left an indelible mark on Mayfield-Northville track and field,” said Coach Jon Caraco.
