Basketball games kick off this week

The Fulton County Department of Health has given schools the green light for higher-risk winter sports, and Mayfield JV and varsity basketball teams will be kicking off their season with games starting Thursday, February 25.

The guidelines for allowing students to play stipulate that no spectators will be allowed in the gym. However, with the help of the Sports Booster Club, which paid for the installation, a Pixellot camera has been installed in the Jr/Sr High School gym to allow live streaming of the home games. The new camera has a tracking feature that follows the action, so viewers will be able to view home games in real time on the NFHS Network.

Viewers must subscribe to the NFHS Network to view the games. Visit the website to view subscription costs and options and to sign up.   Because Mayfield school emails may block certain content, it is advisable to use a different email when subscribing to the NFHS Network service.

Each district is handling the streaming coverage of their home games.  Here are the links for their channels:

The links will be provided on the game schedule page, as well.
