School tax bills are mailed each year on August 31st. Payment is due by September 30th without penalty. The last day to pay is October 31st. After that, school taxes will be relieved and added to your Town/County tax bill, and must be paid to Fulton County.
Name and address changes should be made through the Town or Village Assessor.

Pay By Drop Box
New for 2026 we have a drop box available for check only payments. The drop box is located outside of the District Office door at 27 School St., Mayfield, NY 12117. NO IN-PERSON payments may be made, this is drop-off only.
Penalties/Fees
A 2% penalty will be added after September 30.
Collection ends October 31st, when unpaid taxes are returned to the county with additional penalties. U.S. Postmark determines the date of payment.
