Pursuant to the Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order, during this time of cancelled classes due to COVID-19, New York State schools are required to care for the school-aged children of essential health care workers (licensed health professionals, such as: physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, LPNs, and nurse assistants or laboratory personnel) and first responders (including: paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers, and firefighters).
