A Message from Superintendent Harper About The School Closure

Please be aware that as a public school, Mayfield Central School District is required by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s March 27 Executive Order to provide at-home learning resources, to-go meals to our students and, if necessary, childcare to children of essential workers during the statewide school closures.

As we respond to the COVID-19 crisis, the safety of our teachers, staff, students and community will always be our top priority, and we are and have been in communication with the Fulton County Department of Health throughout this process. We have and will continue to follow any recommendations of the Department of Health regarding social distancing protocols and universal precautions related to the COVID-19 crisis.

We have protocols in place related to preparation and curbside pick-up of at-home learning resources for students that align with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Department of Health guidelines. We will continue to evaluate how we are providing at-home learning resources to our students as required by the Governor’s order. We will keep you informed via our website and the Blackboard Connect messaging system.
